Vineyards

The Gallery Vineyard is located in the heart of West Kelowna, situated between the city centre and Lake Okanagan, overlooking Gellatly Bay. While being in the hub of the city’s town centre, the 25 acres feels removed from the busy-ness, a little island of farmland lovingly tended and cared for by its owners.

The Gallery Vineyard is on a south facing slope adjacent to Lake Okanagan, giving the ideal grape growing conditions for maximum sun exposure combined with excellent air flow from the lake. The southern site warms early during the long days of summer but minimizes the high heat of west facing sites at mid summer. Rows face north-south to assist and add uniform maturation to the wine composition. The soil is silty with good water holding capacity.

The grape varieties have been carefully chosen to create a diverse portfolio of wines including:

  • Riesling
  • Ehrenfelser
  • Malbec
  • Cabernet Franc
  • Muscat Orange

The Malbec block is one of the most northern plantings of its kind in the world.
